Chadora is a business game which simulates, at the market level, an industry composed of a certain number of competing firms, which make and sell a consumer product on a national market. This product, made in a single production process, is made from a single raw material. The distribution channels are made up of whole salers and retailers.
Using one product and one market, Chadora is a good initial exercise in managing a business. It is a simple game which concentrates on the fundamental mechanisms of management.
Decisions
The business is required to take a number of decisions which reflect its chosen strategy to achieve its objectives. These decisions relate to its commercial policy (fixing the sale price, credit conditions, marketing and advertising budget, etc.), its production policy (volume of output, purchase of raw materials, investment, etc.) and its financial policy (borrowing, interest rates, dividends paid to shareholders etc.).
